We managed to escape the noise of July 4th, and met up with new and old frineds camping at Crater Lake:

I’ve never paddled on Sparks Lake before- it is a fantastic place to go! There are interesting lava formations, coves to explore, flowers and birds to watch, all with the backdrop of Broken top and South Sister to one side, and Bachelor on the other. Excellent!
