When we visited the Umpqua River and Toketee Falls it was bright and sunny. That’s normally a good thing visiting a river. As a photographer, it’s hard to deal with. I found myself captivated by the light, colors and patterns in the shadows. Somehow the fern in the river managed to keep its composure as I moved my camera around, a happy accident in this case :)
I must have paused my pan just long enough to capture the ghost of the fern, still among the swirling waters of the North Umpqua.
